Carol Yahr began teaching voice 10 years ago. She has developed a strong emphasis on breathing technique and believes it is essential to understand the proper use of the head and chest registers to find the right singing balance. Carol has had outstanding success with singers at all levels from beginners to experienced professionals.
Her students have performed with the Metropolitan Opera, the Outreach Ensemble of the Colorado Opera, The Virginia Arts Festival, the Amalfi Coast Festival (Italy), Opera Company of Brooklyn, The Bronx Opera, One World Symphony, the Chelsea Opera and New York Opera Forum among others.
